Her most well-known role was portraying Judy Kramer on Fox's 2005 Point Pleasant series and Marcy on Dawson's Run. In 2003, she played Marina Cooper on the Guiding Light. The role won her an award at the Soap Opera Digest Awards in 2003 for the Best Newcomer. Dollar appeared in the ABC soap opera Women's Murder Club as Cindy Thomas between 2007 and 2008. She starred on the 2012 NBC pilot Happy Valley but it was not aired.
